Eclipse is very different than New Moon, the previous book in the Twilight series. There is much more action, romance and thrill which completely blows away the reader’s heart, melting it, making it race, making it pound or even stop at times.
The romance in Eclipse definitely steps up a notch. Edward, Bella, and Jacob are caught in a tense love triangle. Bella is suddenly confused about her love for Edward. Jacob and Edward on the other hand both love Bella. They become competitive and create tension throughout the book. They compete to win Bella’s heart.
As for action, Victoria is back to kill Bella but this time, she’s not alone. She brings an army of young uncontrolled vampires with her to take out the Cullens and Bella. The battle is very well described as you read it, you feel like you’re there. It got really creepy and terrifying at times. The descriptions, every now and then, became very clear and gruesome.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I loved how it pushed itself to another level every chapter. All the romance and the action never let the reader down. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a read! It’s more of a girl’s book, but if guys would like to try it, it’s not horribly girly. I think guys would enjoy this book because there is TONS of action in this book. Also, it shows how guys try to impress girls and how foolish they can look when trying to act cool. As for those girls who love romance, this book is a big fat MUST READ! I’ve decided to give this book an A for awesomeness! I hope to find more books like this one!
